PLAN TALK: Summer Cycle Tour!

PIBC SOUTH COAST CHAPTER – PLAN TALK: Summer Cycle Tour! (June 19, 2010,
VANCOUVER):

This month’s PlanTalk will happen on bikes!

Representatives from TransLink, the City of Vancouver, the University of
British Columbia, and the Provincial Health Services Authority will lead
a fun and informative cycling tour through a variety of Vancouver
neighbourhoods. We plan to cover approximately 18 kilometres of bike
routes along the way, traveling at a gentle pace.

Come learn about brand new cycling infrastructure such as the Dunsmuir
Street bike lane, the history of some of the City’s most popular routes,
and results from recent studies and trials. The tour will begin with a
brief presentation about links between public health and the built
environment, and will include plenty of opportunities to ask questions
of our friendly expert guides!

Launch: 10:15 am
Finish: 12:30 pm, Granville & Dunsmuir
